Foo Fighters Surprise Bakersfield Pop-Up Concert Announcement (2025)

Get ready, Bakersfield! The Foo Fighters are bringing their electrifying energy to The Nile Theater on November 3rd for a pop-up show unlike anything you've witnessed before! This marks the band's debut in Bakersfield, promising an unforgettable experience.

They've been dropping these surprise shows lately, and this one is shaping up to be epic. The band hinted at the announcement with a photo of guitarist Pat Smear playing Buck Owens’ iconic red, white, and blue guitar, accompanied by the intriguing caption: “I came here looking for something I couldn’t find anywhere else.” What could it mean?

Here's how to snag your tickets:

  • When: Tickets went on sale at noon PT on Sunday, November 2nd.
  • Where: The Fox Theater, 1700 20th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301. (Remember, the show itself is at The Nile Theater, 1721 19th St., Bakersfield, CA 93301.)
  • How: In-person only!
  • Price: A steal at just $30 per ticket.
  • Payment: Physical credit and debit cards only. No cash or digital payments.
  • Limits: Two tickets per cardholder.
  • Pick-up: Will-call only, starting at 3 PM on Monday, November 3rd, with a valid photo ID. The entire party must be present to enter the venue.

This pop-up show follows a string of recent surprise performances, including the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, CA, The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA, and The Black Cat in Washington, DC, among others. To capture the raw energy of these intimate gigs, the band released a live EP, Are Playing Where??? Vol. 1. The proceeds from this six-track EP, available exclusively on Bandcamp, will support local charities combating food insecurity in the cities where the performances were recorded. It's awesome to see the band giving back!

But that's not all! The Foo Fighters have also confirmed their first stadium tour since their massive 2023-2024 Everything or Nothing at All run. Kicking off on August 4, 2026, at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the tour will hit 12 North American cities, culminating (for now) on September 26th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

And to top it off, the band recently released a new song, “Asking for a Friend.” This track takes a darker, more intense approach compared to their hit “Today’s Song,” building into passionate refrains that will surely get stuck in your head.
